STAFF STICK WITH NOVOTEL

WITH STAFF TURNOVER at London hotels last year running at a reported 88 per cent, it was with some satisfaction that the Novotel London West hotel in Hammersmith claimed a record low turnover of just 13.3 per cent.

A total of 34 staff, many with more than 25 years' service to their credit, and who had clocked up more than 500 years' between them, were rewarded with a cash bonus and an award recognising their achievement. The presentations were made by Jean- Jacques Dessors, managing director of Accor - owner of the flagship property - and Michael Sloan, the West London hotel's general manager.
