HOTELSCENE LAUNCHES FASTER BOOKING SYSTEM
HOTELSCENE BEGAN the roll-out of its new corporate online hotel booking system this October. MyStay, which replaces its current Xtranet system, is claimed to speed up the booking process by almost one third, and will be fully implemented by the middle of next year.
Managing director Nick Foot says Xtranet, developed in 2001, had been an outstanding success, with three quarters of Hotelscene's bookings made via the online system. But there had been dramatic advancements in technology which had been incorporated into the £1 million MyStay replacement.
"We believe this is different from anything available elsewhere," Foot claims. Among a number of new features is AutoRebook, a tool that checks rates up to the point of check-in, and rebooks the room if a lower rate becomes available.
Foot adds: "Higher adoption levels will reduce booking costs, and the new design of the site will mean faster implementation for new clients with tailored requirements."
