Bristol and Milton Keynes gain Doubletree
HILTON HOTELS CORPORATION has signed franchise agreements for Doubletree by Hilton hotels in Bristol and Milton Keynes.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, HHC's senior vicepresident of development, Europe and Africa, said: "These two signings will bring the number of UK Doubletree properties to seven, and we hope to have 10 open before the end of the year."
The Doubletree by Hilton Bristol South, a conversion of the Cadbury House Hotel and Country Club, will have 72 rooms, extensive meeting space, a restaurant, bar and access to a health club and spa facility.
The Doubletree by Hilton Milton Keynes is a new-build hotel within the MK Dons stadium. The property will have 127 rooms and is expected to open before the end of this year. Pitch-side rooms, if available, will double as executive boxes on match days.
