BA's all-Business Class set for September
BRITISH AIRWAYS has re-confirmed its commitment to a September 29 start-date for its all-Business Class transatlantic flights from London City Airport.
The carrier plans to start with six flights a week - the Docklands airport is closed on Saturdays - rising to 12 a week from mid-October.
Flights will be operated by Airbus A318s with 32 fl at-bed seats, instead of the normal 107-seat configuration. Because London City's runway is so short, westbound flights will have to re-fuel at Shannon, where travellers will be able to clear US immigration formalities.
