Stimulus plan for meeting organisers

38-20

STARCITE, which provides online meetings technology claimed to deliver savings of up to 25 per cent, is offering new customers signing up by the end of June free use of its software for the remainder of the year. A recent Starcite survey found that although meetings and events represent as much as 35 per cent of many companies' travel spending, less than half of those questioned had established meetings policies - in contrast with the 95 per cent of respondents who said their organisation had a travel policy in place. It is claimed that for many companies, meetings can represent as much as three per cent of revenues but lack adequate controls over spending.

The Starcite Stimulus Plan features every module of its system, including planning, budgeting, buying, attendee management, payment and results measurement. It also includes full access to a competitive bidding process through the Starcite Marketplace, an online facility linking buyers with more than 93,000 hotels, venues and meeting suppliers around the world.

Qualified customers who sign up for the Stimulus Plan will have the opportunity to use all of Starcite's standard services free throughout the remainder of 2009. Visit starcite.com for more information.
