CREDIT CRUNCH corporate-meeting prices have arrived in London's Park Lane. A day-delegate rate of £86 per head is being offered at the luxury meeting suites at JW Marriott's new 86 Park Lane venue adjoining the Grosvenor House. Valid until the end of this year, the rate includes a two-course lunch at the hotel's Bord'eaux restaurant, or bento box working lunch served in the meeting room, plus three breaks including sweet, savoury and fruit options created by executive chef Richard Arnoldi.

A dedicated event organiser, meeting room hire, LCD projector and screen, flip-chart with markers, delegate stationery and all-day tea and coffee are included in the rate.

Marriott's 86 Park Lane took four years to construct. Designed for stand-alone meetings, cocktail parties or private dinners, as well as a free facility for functions at Grosvenor House, it provides 20 rooms in classic or traditionally opulent style for between 20 and 110 delegates, or receptions for up to 200. Décor is in muted shades of green, tan and gold to reflect its position overlooking Hyde Park. Grosvenor House director of event planning, James Melville, says: "It's good to be back in the day-delegate market with such a strong and affordable product."
