Enhanced Choice
CHOICE HOTELS INTERNATIONAL is conducting a "strategic review" of its UK operations following the failure of The Real Hotel Company, which has been put into administration.
Choice has scrapped franchise deals with 22 properties operated by The Real Hotel Company under the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands. The review will result in the implementation of "an enhanced brand standards programme" for Choice's UK portfolio.
Focus Hotels Management has taken over 10 of the properties of the failed Real Hotel Company. The hotels, which have a total of 780 rooms, are in Altrincham, Wigan, Wolverhampton, Hull, Hatfield, Chester, Northampton, Stafford, Blackburn and Telford. The new management team, headed by Peter Cashman, had previously been executives with the Real Hotel Company.
