ST JAMES'S RE-OPENS

LONDON'S ST JAMES'S Hotel and Club has reopened after an 18-month renovation and is now under the management of the Althoff Hotel Collection. The London property, located in Mayfair, has engaged Tim Pettifer, formerly of Cliveden, as general manager, and three Michelin-starred chef Dieter Müller to head up the catering side.

Althoff operates six luxury properties in Germany and France: Hotel am Schlossgarten, Stuttgart; Die Welle, Frankfurt; Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg and Schlosshotel Lerbach, Bergisch Gladbach; Fürstenhof, Celle; and Hotel Villa Belrose, Gassin/Saint Tropez.
